Additional studies by Sudheesh et al. (2010) found that Palladium Lipoic Acid Complex (PdLA) formulation can both act as a free radical scavenger as well as work synergistically to restore endogenous anti-oxidants. This work was demonstrated in aged rodent heart cells following the administration of PdLA supplement for 30 days. With age there is a decrease in the ability of cells to produce energy efficiently, as well as an increase in free radical production.
